ReStore Volunteers support Habitat’s vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
We are always in need of volunteers to help us run our Evergreen Restore. We work with regular, occasional and group volunteers, accommodating various volunteers’ schedules. No experience necessary, just a willingness to work and be a part of Habitat’s mission!

James is a retired Denver fire fighter after serving for 28 years. He now lives in Evergreen with his family. Jame’s son Ben is a special needs student at Clear Creek High School. He has been a part of our volunteer program at the ReStore to help special needs youth transition into adult independence. James and Ben have been volunteering on Saturday afternoons after Ben finishes working at McDonalds. James adds a cheerful and energetic presence to our ReStore environment and we greatly appreciate his service to Habitat!
Originally from the East Coast, Beth has lived in Colorado for 36 years. She is enjoying her retirement and wants to give something back to her community. Beth likes working at Habitat ReStore and has made some good friends here. “It’s a fun place to be and not like work”, comments Beth. Beth also has a daughter who is an airline pilot and has followed in her mother’s footsteps by also volunteering in the community. In her spare time Beth also volunteers at St. Anthony’s, enjoys photography and jewelry making
From Air Force Academy grad to pilot to volunteer: Scott Sudmalis has been with the Blue Spruce Habitat ReStore for one year. Scott is best known for being a self-propelled volunteer. One moment we’ll find Scott fixing a chair and the next he is helping a customer look for something. This Summer Scott came to our rescue to help with our delivery truck by making endless trips to peoples’ homes to help fill our ReStore with donations! Scott is a local Evergreen resident of 23 years. He is married with 3 grown children, including a college hockey player at Worcester State University. We love you and appreciate you Scott!
Keith has lived in Evergreen for 20 years and is retired from a 32-year commitment at Bobcat. Keith’s wife found the ReStore while shopping, went home to her husband and said, “I think you should volunteer there.” That was a year ago and Keith has been one of our faithful volunteers ever since. We count on Keith to help take care of our backyard, which is not an easy job! Keith enjoys working with building materials and fixing things. We are grateful to have Keith as part of our ReStore team!
